I have been a member of EYP - Ukraine since 2007, when I attended my first Sumy session. Since then, I have been actively involved in the activities of EYP – Ukraine as an organizer, delegate, chair and later on the head organizer of a number of EYP events for over 5 years. I was EYP-Ukraine board member on Regional Development during 2009-2011. I also represented EYP-Ukraine on the IS in Zagreb as a chairperson. During my active years in EYP, I realised and participated in various events both in Ukraine and abroad – these include trainings, international forums and sessions. I head organised East International Forum in 2010 and supervised several national and regional sessions of the EYP in 2010-2011.

WRITE A STATEMENT WHY YOU WANT TO BE ELECTED.

The number of years I have been involved in EYP-Ukraine both as a participant as well on an organisational level should serve as a proof of my passion and commitment to the organisation, and I truly feel that in EYP-Ukraine I have learnt a lot of lessons and had plenty of life-changing experiences. During years of EYP activity I have seen EYP-Ukraine growing and developing over the last years and to some extent I want to believe I was part of that. I fell in love with the EYP – Ukraine a number of years ago.
EYP-Ukraine has been a key element of my life for almost 5 years, as well as the focus of most of my energy and time – often on the expense of studies or sometimes even my personal life. It is a wonderful organisation that has given and still gives me so much. I cannot disown that I am doing EYP because of the personal satisfaction that I get from working for this organisation. I have experienced this joy by organising and planning sessions, being an official and running EYP –Ukraine Regional Development department and now I think it’s time to share this experience with other people as a President of EYP-Ukraine.

One part of me also wants to challenge myself and prove myself I can do it. I am confident and I can feel the time has come to do that. I think that no matter for how long I have been involved in EYP-Ukraine and no matter what I have done, there is always more to do. And I still have an urge to satisfy my need for more and that is my main motivation to run for the elections.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE WORK OF THE EUROPEAN YOUTH PARLIAMENT - UKRAINE?

I believe that both my work within EYP-Ukraine as well as my experience from sessions in various roles has given me a versatile and good knowledge of our organisation. I know how we work and what we base our activities on and I believe this is a helpful background for the work I am planning to do in the position of EYP-Ukraine President.

Having participated in various sessions and training in EYP, I can state that organising and running some of them made me feel confident in sharing knowledge and experiences I have accumulated with others. My practice as the head-organiser and supervisor of a number of EYP sessions taught me the various nitty-gritty things of each of these positions, involving elements of finance, planning logistics, networking as well as dividing responsibilities and supervising groups of people. These various experiences have allowed me to prove myself as a valuable member of a team as well as capable of successfully leading a team and even an organisation.

I am sure that EYP-Ukraine President should have a strong vision and a real ambition for EYP and its long-term development. In order to do so, I believe I could count on my outspoken nature as well as on my dedication and capacity to compromise and discuss different opinions in a practical way.

PLEASE, WRITE A STATEMENT ABOUT YOUR PLANS FOR THE TERM YOU ARE RUNNING FOR.

My main goal is to increase the quality of the Ukrainian sessions. While it is considered to be of a high level already, my experience has showed me that again and again there are problems with organisational issues and vision of what EYP session itself is. Therefore I am planning to improve the cooperation between the EYP-Ukraine board, session supervisor and local organising committee. I would like to make them feel that they are working towards a mutual aim and are striving to achieve the same goal. This should be improved when it comes to the distribution of responsibilities during fundraising process, session PR-campaign etc. I also believe that it is crucial for all the EYP-Ukraine members to be aware of an initial purpose of the EYP and not only about “fun” part of it.

I also think that EYP-Ukraine should strive to become more accessible to young Ukrainians from remote regions. I would like to work on the subject of making EYP-Ukraine an open organisation for all classes throughout society. We are often accused of being mainly accessible to the higher middle class of Ukrainian Citizens. Therefore I would like new EYP-Ukraine board strive to promote EYP activities in rural regions. Because often, it is exactly these youngsters who need it the most. And having achieved this, EYP-Ukraine could truly be representative of the voice of Ukrainian youth.

Having spoken to many members of EYP-Ukraine, I know that the perception of what the EYP-Ukraine board and Leadership does is not clear. That is why I am sure that it is important for the members of the organisation to know the actions and responsibilities of the Board and Leadership. This information should not only be accessible in the official documents, but more work should be done to inform EYP-Ukraine members about the duties and responsibilities of the Board and Leadership. People being aware and becoming interested will ensure that the Board and Leadership become a more representative and democratic body, as well as provide its succession in the long term.

I also believe that all EYP-Ukraine activities should be administrated by people who want to do it and know exactly how to do it. Therefore I am planning to make EYP-Ukraine a training based organisation that conduct trainings for its members focused on fundraising, PR, session management, regional development etc on a permanent basis.
Last but certainly not least, one of my main goals will be establishment of new contacts with NGOs, authorities and companies, as well as securing the old one, maintaining positive working atmosphere within the organisation and ensuring active work within EYP-Ukraine departments.

WRITE A STATEMENT WHY YOU WANT TO BE ELECTED.

Since the time when I became a student, EYP has become an integral part of my life. Step by step, I took different challenges, trying myself in various positions, and finally reached the stage on which I would like to share all my knowledge and experience I gained and to serve fully for the sake of prosperity of EYP-Ukraine.

I believe that I acquire required skills and expertise to serve as a President of our organisation: COMMUNICATION SKILLS (EXPERIENCE OF REPRESENTING THE ORGANISATION AT PUBLIC EVENTS), LEADERSHIP AND MANAGING SKILLS (RUNNING A DEPARTMENT WITH 16 PEOPLE), SPONSOR RELATIONS (STRATEGIC FUNDRAISING EXPERIENCE) - COOPERATION WITH THE OPEN HEARTS FUND may serve as the best example, ORGANISING EXPERIENCE (Chernihiv Regional Session as the most recent example), STRATEGIC THINKING (DEVELOPMENT AND SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF PR STRATEGY)

I am full of inspiration and bright ideas which I am ready to share with you. I am willing to dedicate my time towards fulfilment of the strategy which is to be developed within all departments of EYP-Ukraine. I am intending to work hard for the future of EYP-Ukraine!

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE WORK OF THE EUROPEAN YOUTH PARLIAMENT - UKRAINE?

I was lucky and honoured to be a Vice President of the organisation for one year. This year brought me the unique understanding of how the organisation works inside.

I am proud to tell that quite a lot of achievements we reached during the year, among them are:

- activation of PR department's work,
- restructuring,
- involving new people,
- developing and implementing PR strategy (consisting of social networks activity, website promotion, 24/7 press-office (news office),
- regular meetings,
- publishing of EYP Newsletter,
- and many more.

Within last year, the following projects have been successfully conducted: in each round of the European Youth Polls held during the year EYP-Ukraine ranked 2nd in terms of number of participants; EYP-Ukraine participated in “Let’s do it Ukraine”; numerous debates and NGO fairs.

Why am I sharing all these figures with you? My aim is to give you the understanding that my ability to achieve such remarkable results serving as a Vice-President gives me an inspiring incentive to show another excellent performance on the brand new level.

I feel now that such results could be achieved in all departments, as they are very much interconnected, and I am very eager to be a moderator of the process and to get involved in the further development of our Public Relations as well as in building the Fundraising stability within the organisation.

EYP has become an inevitable part of my life and I am really committed to improving it!

PLEASE, WRITE A STATEMENT ABOUT YOUR PLANS FOR THE TERM YOU ARE RUNNING FOR.

I am convinced that the most precious asset any company, team, organisation can have is its people. That’s why I would really emphasise on this recourse. I would love to achieve the level when all 5 departments of EYP work as a good single mechanism, and people inside are motivated and inspired. For this I would love to make current members and the old ones believe that EYP is a perfect push in their lives and a great step forward in their personal development. I would like to try myself in assisting both alumni and new-comers.
I would try to inspire our Board and come up with some tasks to make everybody involved in our working atmosphere where people feel that their ideas are valuable and important, and their contribution is shared and appreciated. I do understand that it is right time for me to undertake more serious responsibilities towards the whole strategy of EYP Ukraine.

Of course I’ll start my work with the strategic planning, moving to revival of all departments and creating strategic planning support for them. Decisive steps in fundraising and communication are to be undertaken as priority.

Going briefly through the ideas and plans I have, they are:

- having all departments working;
- creating an educational platform for people, where they can develop as personalities and feel a real professional growth;
- establishing long-term relationships with sponsors;
- introducing other projects apart from regular sessions;
- bringing EYP to all regions of our country.
