Olya Smyrnova
Olga is the founder of EYP-Ukraine and served as its President for two years in 2000-2002. She is a graduate of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, Department of Germanic Philology.
Olga received a graduate degree in International Relations and Economics from the School of Advanced International Studies, Bologna Centre, Johns Hopkins University, and a Master's in International Relations from the Vienna Diplomatic Academy.
Olga worked as the Focal Point for Youth at the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine. As acknowledgment of her ground-breaking work in engaging young people in Millennium Development Goals implementation, Olga was invited to present the results of her work at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
Olga is an alumna of Global Village for Future Leaders of Business and Industry, business internship program at Iacocca Institute of Lehigh University, PA, U.S.A. She is also an alumna of the US government funded high-school exchange program FLEX-97. Currently, Olga is working as the Ethics and Compliance Officer for Shell International Exploration and Production in the Netherlands.
