Types of EYP Sessions

Mini Session – is a 1-2 day EYP event aimed to promote the organisation and to help the participants to prepare themselves for such events as National Selection Conference. Despite its brief format, a Mini Session consists of the same main stages as other EYP events: teambuilding, committee work, GA etc. The good thing about Mini Sessions is that they are held in many regions of Ukraine, so be prepared to welcome this event in your home town. During the annual InterRail project Mini Sessions are held simultaneously in many cities and towns, connected by the regional‘chains’ (North, West, East, South). Mini Session is an excellent opportunity to start your EYP experience. |

National Selection Conference (National Session) takes place once a year. This event is organised by each National Committee and is aimed to select the most brilliant participants for Ukrainian delegations at International Sessions. National Selection Conference usually lasts for 4-5 days during which delegates work on the most important political, economical, social, and cultural problems within the international committees which are built up accordingly to committee structure of the real European Parliament. National sessions usually attract up to 90-100 participants, including international officials (chairpersons, journalists, and members of the session’s board). |

Regional Sessions take place during the whole year in different countries of Europe. Each National Committee has a right to organise regional events in its home country if the event gets a proper funding. In average, regional events attract around 50-70 participants (delegates, chairpersons, journalists) from the neighboring countries. During 3-4 days delegates work on the most important political, economical, social, and cultural problems within the international committees which are built up accordingly to committee structure of the real European Parliament. The committee work results into formulation of a motion for resolution, a document containing all ideas and decisions accepted by the committee. |

International Forum represents a type of Regional Session with greater participation of international delegates. Geographical diversity of the participating countries makes International Forum a platform for intercultural communication. In terms of programme and number of participants International Forums are similar to Regional Sessions, though some details may vary and depend on the particular event. |

International Sessions are organised three times a year. In general, an international session attracts about 300 participants (delegates, journalists, chairpersons, teachers, and international organisers) from more than 30 countries of Europe.Delegations to international sessions are selected accordingly to results of NSC.
During 10 days delegates work on the most important political, economical, social, and cultural problems within the international committees which are built up accordingly to committee structure of the real European Parliament. The committee work results into formulation of a motion for resolution, a document containing all ideas and decisions accepted by the committee. Those motions for resolutions which are approved during the procedure of General Assembly are sent directly to the European Parliament as a voice of European youth. |
