Why you want to be elected?
I would like to run for this position and be elected to be able to contribute more to the HR policy of EYP Ukraine. It’s a widely popular opinion that the main asset of any organisation is its people, and I do believe that our organisation should enhance and develop the policy of engaging smart and active Ukrainian youth. So far, I have a clear vision of the directions in which HR department should work in order to achieve the goal of involving new members in our activities, and moreover maintaining our active team of young leaders, making them become more interested, stay within the organisation and contribute.
How will you contribute to the work of the European Youth Parliament – Ukraine?
As I see it, the Board member on Human Resources should ensure that people applying for membership receive confirmations promptly, their info put in the database, and they are informed about the possibility to apply for the upcoming events, invited to take part in assemblies etc. On the other hand, members who have already taken part in a number of events, should be aware that they are more than welcome to solve our inner issues, and EYP doesn’t assume only international sessions abroad. Generally, it’s all about making sure that all members are involved in our activities, and they have an opportunity at least to get to know about them.
What are your plans for the term you are running for?
I believe that the main goal of the HR policy of EYP-Ukraine should be to ensure continuity and sustainability. Members of the organisation should be given an opportunity to see how they can contribute and develop their skills within our projects and events. To put these goals into practical actions, I would go for the following: 1. As there’s still no common database, containing the info and EYP experience of all the members, it should finally be made. 2. Taking into account that not all the members are signed to the mailings group (even those signed don’t always get the e-mails), the info on the upcoming projects/events should be sent to everyone registered as a member. 3. We see that at each and every GA newcomers register within our working departments, but afterwards they are actually not into anything. To avoid this, they should be informed about current issues and challenges of their departments by separate e-mails. This would involve our closest co-operation with the heads of departments. 4. We should definitely continue the practice of sending the calls for organisers of different events, and HR department can help with it by doing it and making the lists of people who would like to be organisers. 5. To eliminate the sad practice of forgetting to send birthday greetings to members, the special calendar of dates of birth should be created. 6. To enhance the procedure of selecting the delegates to national sessions, more detailed application forms should be developed.
