Ukrainian EYPer was chairing at the Austrian National Selection Conference
The National Selection Conference of EYP-Austria took place in the capital of the country from April, 29th to May, 2nd. Natalia Tarasevych, Ukrainian EYPer, was a moderator in one of the committees.
8 committees of approximately 12-13 delegates (mainly Austrian, but also International) each, 16 chair couples, 8 journalists guided by 2 outstanding editors were given the opportunity to enjoy the 4 days of their lives at the most.
Thanks to the perfect organizational skills the two head-organizers and their team demonstrated and thorough preparations made, the event was managed smoothly. The great energy, team spirit, professionalism and friendly atmosphere qualify this session as definitely the best one you could have ever seen. The delegations were coming in schools, but for the session they were split up in the committees. International jury members were responsible for selecting two school delegations for the two International sessions in Zagreb (Croatia) and Istanbul (Turkey). Traditional chain of evening social events was present at this session as well. The session started with the Committee presentations and welcome party, followed up by Eurovillage on the next day. Committee dinners were held in the most famous Austrian restaurant ‘Heuriger’. And finally, our amazingly crazy farewell party was certainly extremely remarkable for everyone present there. The General Assembly was visited by ex-Minister of Defense of Austria, Representatives of City Council and the President of JEF (Austrian Youth Organisation).
It was really difficult to endure the Closing Ceremony and all goodbye tears which followed afterwards.
