Between August 31st and September 4th National Selection Conference in Paralimni (Cyprus) took place. Anna Suprunenko was honoured to be one of the 10 international people present at the session in a position of a chairperson. Overall, session gathered around 150 people, what’s quite a big number, taking into account a type of the session.
The peculiarity of the session was a great number of officials (journalists, chairpersons, organisers), there were 50 in total. By having so many Cypriot officials, National Committee tries to involve all willing people into activities of EYP and to give them a chance of self-development.
It should be said that the process of selecting delegates for international events differs from the Ukrainian standard. In general, there were 15 schools at the conference. 4 of them were selected for International Sessions held in Zagreb and Istanbul, and two - for regional events.
Anna Suprunenko is sharing her impressions:
“I was amazed by the level of organisation and passion of the president, Nassos Stylianou (Cyprus), to the event.
It was a great pleasure to be a part of the event and to feel the spirit of Cypriot hospitability”.
