Unforgettable Iberian forum with one Ukrainian delegate
Between 4th-11th of August in Girona, Spain, took place the Iberian forum of EYP. The forum gathered 150 young Europeans from around 15 European countries. The Ukrainian delegation was represented by only one person - Maria Shcherbak, who was delegate.
The forum had high-class organised venues and meals and all participants were lodged in rooms with en-suites. During committee work there was an opportunity for all participants to swim in a pool with salt water, allowing the spa sensation rejuvenate their skins and clear their minds for a while. The Eurovillage was engulfed in nature as it took place under the open skies. A memorable moment was when all the participants were given bands with colours of the Ukrainian flag to tie on their hands by our delegate, giving Ukraine a sign of respect and recognition (surprisingly, at the end of the session one third of the participants still had the wrist-bands on). The first party was also held in the lap of nature at the night club in City Park.
During the forum everybody had a great opportunity to visit the famous Costa Brava beach at the Mediterranean Sea coast. In evening after an exciting city quest in Girona there was a committee dinner in the exquisite restaurant, after which all participants were assembled at the EYP pub with live Spanish music that reached out to everyone’s soul
Before the Euroconcert, there was an unforgettable dinner which consisted of various Spanish meals and appetizers, including wines and champagnes. Euroconcert brought on stage talented participants whose performances were unsurpassed.
The GA was as official as it could be, with bright delegates bringing to table what they had accomplished during the committee work. At the end of the GA only six out of ten resolutions passed but, nevertheless, all participants were complimented for the well-done job.
Since Girona is located 100 km from Barcelona, our Ukrainian delegate had a chance to experience the magical and wonderful sensation of Barcelona with her popular slogan ”Barcelona es teva!" which means in English ”Barcelona belongs to you!”.
The Iberian forum was an unforgettable event for our delegate and she was indeed glad to participate.
