July 5-8, 2007, 70 participants from 8 European countries took part in the II Sumy Regional Session of the European Youth Parliament “Globalization and Integration: EU and the Neighbour-States”.
From the very beginning
of the session all the participants were full of excitement and positive emotions as the 1st Sumy horse-riding complex was chosen to be a teambuilding venue, where EYPers had an opportunity not only to successfully build teams, but also to enjoy horse-riding and landscapes of Sumy suburbs.
The Opening Ceremony of the session was held on the 6th of July at the National Academy of Banking of the National Bank of Ukraine. Young parliamentarians were warmly welcomed and greeted by city and regional authorities, representatives from Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and President of the session Yuliya Babenko.
Besides Committee Work and General Assembly, when each delegate could contribute into the discussions of the European burning problems and participate in fruitful debates, each participant was also involved into traditional EYP evening activities: Eurovillage, Country and Committee presentations.
The last but not the least event of the session was an unforgettable Farewell “Star Party” devoted to the 20th EYP Anniversary.
