From August 28 till September 3 the city of Weimar, Germany, hosted the International Forum dedicated to the Weimar Triangle’s anniversary. The event brought together Polish, French, German, Czech, and Ukrainian EYPers. Ukraine was represented by Uchenna Chiedozie Egbete (chairperson) and delegates Tamara Kuripko, Oleksandra Gordienko, Olena Gordienko, and Anna Derevyanko.

Apart from traditional committee work and public defending of motions for resolutions during the procedure of General Assembly, the agenda of the Forum included visiting the annual ceremony of presentation of the Adam Mickiewicz Award for German-French-Polish cooperation (the Weimar Triangle itself) at the National Theatre, debating on the current economic and social issues with the Adam Mickiewicz Award winners, and meeting representatives of the German political community. The organisers of the Forum also included a rich variety of entertaining events into the Forum’s program. For instance, the participants of the Forum took part in a joyful quest around the city, relaxed during Casino Party and The Party of 90’s, and had a Mexican-style committee dinner.

The Ukrainian participants acknowledged gratefully that the International Forum in Weimar would be their brightest memory of the whole summer 2011.
